Many Florida Clerk of Court and Comptroller offices offer free property fraud notification services. These programs can alert you when certain documents are recorded in the Official Records using a name or other information you've registered to monitor.

While these alerts cannot prevent a fraudulent document from being recorded, they can provide an important early warning and give property owners an opportunity to investigate activity they don't recognize.
