Paige Corsello

Lending Heights

1. Tell us about yourself (background/education/experience).

I am a Pittsburgh gal as that’s where I was born and raised. I was the first person in my school district to graduate high school one year early. My plan was to become a nurse. I was in school when COVID hit, and I decided to start my career in mortgages.

2. How long have you been in the industry?

I started in mortgages when I was 19. While I learned the business and studied for my sales exam, I worked as a processor for a top producing brokerage. This provided me an in-depth understanding of how a loan actually makes it to the closing table. I have been originating full time now for four years.

3. What do you like most about living in Florida?

Coming from one of the least sunny states in the country…I have to say the sunshine has been fantastic. Definitely not mad about rocking a tan year round.

4. What advice do you have for anyone looking to buy/sell/refinance right now?

It makes sense if it makes sense for you. One of the most important things I’ve learned in this business is everyone’s situation is different. If it makes sense, buying/selling/refinancing right now could be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made. That’s why it’s so important to talk with an expert who can look at your situation from a 30,000 foot view and help determine if making a move now aligns with your long-term goals.

5. What three traits define you?

Outgoing

Determined

Adventurous

6. What would you be doing if you weren’t in lending?

I would be singing full-time on a beach bar.

7. What is the most gratifying aspect of what you do?

For me, the tough situations are always the most gratifying-divorce, debt restructure. I’m an advocate for my clients; my job is to help them accomplish a new home purchase or refinance. When we get to the closing table, regardless of what is going on in their personal lives, I’ve helped them complete a really big task and they’re usually quite happy about that.

8. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I always thought it’d be cool to be a good dancer. I love to, but it’s not pretty.

9. What are your favorite indoor/outdoor activities?

I am an avid skier…*sighs in Floridian*

10. If you wrote an autobiography about your life, what would you title it?

“The Only Teenager Interested In Mortgages”

11. In your opinion, what is the coolest design trend you are seeing in homes today?

I absolutely love the look of a dark kitchen. I recently saw black granite countertops, dark purple cabinets with gold finishes. Unreal.

12. Where is your favorite place in the world to be?

With my family

13. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?

I’ve got a few questions for Jesus

14. Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?

Jennifer Lawrence..we have a similar care-free attitude.

15. What are your top 5 favorite TV shows or movies in no particular order?

Friends

Modern Family

Boston Legal

South Park

Impractical Jokers

16. What are your top 5 favorite bands/artists or podcasts in no particular order?

I listen to a lot of different kinds of music. Lots of country. My favorite artists in no particular order (at this moment) are John Mayer, Morgan Wallen, The Dixie Chicks, Chris Young, and Rascal Flatts.

17. Where is your favorite place to eat?

Really been feeling “Black & Brew”, specifically, their chicken ceasar salad.

18. Describe your perfect day.

Wake up leisurely around 8am, enjoy some morning kitty cuddles. I press start on my Nespresso and it just so happens to brew the most delicious cup of all time. I take my cup of joe outside by the pool where I get a bit of sunshine and read up on current events. I get connected with a few new clients who I get to help through this really big life changing transaction. My calls wrap up early so I get to meet my brothers at the club for a round of golf. We all break 90 and celebrate with beers and steak. In bed with kitties, candle lit, and movie on by 10pm.

19. What is the most unusual or exciting thing you've encountered during a transaction?

I’ve had couples get married in order to get a deal done.

20. Anything else you would like our readers to know about you or your company?

I think of myself and my company as anomalies in this industry. Outside of having more resources to help realtors grow their business than any other brokerage I’ve been at; we have the best team. We want each other to succeed just as much as we want to ourselves; the support is unmatched. Beyond that, much like realtors, we don’ get paid until the deal closes. We do this everyday because we love it. This is our livelihood through and through-we are constantly working to be 1% better than yesterday.

Some amazing answers, Paige! I think we'd make great friends! Thank you for playing along and letting us learn more about you, you mortgage prodigy you!
