In this spotlight, we meet Tina from LeaderOne Financial!

1. Tell us about yourself (background/education/experience).
Tina is a Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator and Certified Mortgage Advisor with 27 years of experience in the U.S. mortgage industry. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, she also brings over three years of expertise in residential property management in
the Dominican Republic. Tina is the Past Chairman of the Pinellas Realtor Affiliate Business Partners Board, a Trustee for the Pinellas Realtor Foundation, a past Board Member of The Pineapple Projects, and a member of the St. Pete Women's Chamber of Commerce. She is passionate about delivering tailored mortgage solutions through her deep industry knowledge and extensive lender network.
2. How long have you been in the industry?
27 years, in Florida for 8 years
3. What do you like most about living in Florida?
I love the quick access to the beaches and waterfront. I also love the active lifestyle, always something to do and be a part of!
4. What advice do you have for anyone looking to buy/sell/refinance right now?
Wow! So many things! Right now we are seeing an amazing Buyer's market. I know rates are not the best, but once we discuss the power of Seller concessions and helping get your payment lower with them, it will change your mind in an instance. There are too many people that truly believe they cannot afford to buy now. I think that statement as a general rule could not be further from the truth. You need to have a discussion with an experienced Certified Mortgage Advisor, as I am, to see all of your options!
5. What three traits define you?
Straight forward with clear communication and expertise in all aspects of the mortgage game. However, I do still say, I learn something new everyday! We keep educating our entire Team to stay on top of any changes (oh.. and aren't there a ton of changes) so we can keep your interests front and center!
6. What would you be doing if you weren’t in lending?
Probably, teaching reformer Pilates! I recently had 2 knee replacements and Pilates has been a extremely invaluable part of my rehab process!!
7. What is the most gratifying aspect of what you do?
Helping someone, that does not qualify for a mortgage at our first conversation, get thru the process and make the changes necessary to gain that approval. It's the best!!
8. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Teach Pilates, and honestly.. I am kind of already working on it!
9. What are your favorite indoor/outdoor activities?
I love a good murder mystery on TV or at the movies. I am a huge Agatha Christie fan! Outside, hands down, riding bikes, playing bocce ball... especially on the beach!!
10. If you wrote an autobiography about your life, what would you title it?
Where in the World is Tina??? Haha
11. In your opinion, what is the coolest design trend you are seeing in homes today?
I am not super design oriented, not sure I can even comment here.
12. Where is your favorite place in the world to be?
Bavaro, Dominican Republic
13. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Agatha Christie
14. Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?
Oh boy, never really thought about it. I am not sure anyone can pull off this off??
15. What are your top 5 favorite TV shows or movies in no particular order?
Hercule Poirot

16. What are your top 5 favorite bands/artists or podcasts in no particular order?
Not sure I have any super favs, kind of just whatever is on the radio.. Pop, of course.
17. Where is your favorite place to eat?
Rocco
18. Describe your perfect day.
Pilates workout followed with a little cardio, then off to the beach
(probably by bike) and play a little bocce, have some lunch on the beach somewhere. And home to grill something amazing for dinner!
19. What is the most unusual or exciting thing you've encountered during a transaction?
Well.. I recently had a VA loan that we had to take to a second level review because the appraisal was low, and we fought bit and the Veteran won his case. It was my first time going to the second level! Always, learning!!
20. Anything else you would like our readers to know about you or your company?
